What do you do when you are a good comic actor offered a part in a film with a poor script? Well….apparently, you take the role and hope for the best.<br/><br/>Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Jonah Hill are all capable of giving outstanding comedic performances, however, individual performances alone are not enough to save a movie, and The Watch is no exception.<br/><br/>The premise of the film had potential, however, the story was not well written, and the conclusion was ridiculous.<br/><br/>4 of 10 stars for this one.<br/><br/>Save your cash, and wait till it comes out via a less expensive source for viewing.
i don't know why this movie is getting all bad reviews. its a funny movie, and if you like ben stiller and vince vaughns other movies you will like this one too. most people probably dislike the alien part of the movie which is why they rated it poorly. If this movie was still about a neighborhood watch but with a regular storyline instead of the aliens, i think it still would have been justfunny, if not better.<br/><br/>All in all, i gave it a 6/10. Its not quite at the comedy level of new movies like superbad, grandmas boy, 40 yr old virgin, but it is still funny if your a fan of these guys.<br/><br/>Vince Vaughn has some good one liners and ben stiller if funnythe "normal" guy of the group. give it a watch.
